James brings a ute and a caged trailer to every job. He cuts back what has grown, prunes what needs it, loads every branch and barrow of clippings himself, then tips the lot at Wests Road in Werribee. Half a trailer of green waste costs $190, a full trailer $320, and tip fees are included in those prices.
That trailer is the difference between James and a hired skip. A 2 cubic metre green waste skip in Melbourne generally runs $200 to $250, sits on your driveway until collection day, and you do all the cutting and all the loading yourself. A rubbish removal crew will cart a pile away, but they will not prune a single branch to make the pile. James does the cutting and the carting in the same visit.

Need the cutting done too, not just the carting? A half day tidy with up to half a trailer removed is $380. A full day clean-up with a full trailer removed is $680, and extra loads are $180 each. A badly overgrown property is reset from $950, priced on site before he starts. Every clean-up price includes the removal.

Regular mowing and maintenance plans
Three fortnightly plans, billed monthly, no lock-in contract. Mow and go covers the mow, the edges and a blow down for $160 a month. Full maintenance adds weeding, garden bed tidying and hedge touch-ups for $190. Blocks over 700 square metres run on the Large block plan at $290. Clippings leave on the trailer after every visit.

Prices by block size
Block size decides most of the price, so use it to pick a starting point before ringing. Newer estate blocks in Tarneit, Truganina and Manor Lakes commonly sit around 350 to 450 square metres. Established streets in Hoppers Crossing and Werribee mostly run 550 to 650. Anything over 700 square metres counts as a large block.

An overgrown lawn is from $150 for a one-off mow. Every visit has a $95 minimum, and there is no GST on any of it.

James works Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm, and Saturday, 8am to 2pm. Regulars sit on a fortnightly run and one-off jobs fit around them.
